Our ultimate goal in achieving a high quality;
educational, timing and informative annual Canadian Technical Security Conference
(CTSC 2012) event; requires the collective talents of a wide range of
excellent presenters and speakers to conduct a
range of relevant subject matter topics; technical papers and practical workshops. The
CTSC event committee would be interested in hearing from industry
professionals who would be willing to provide a technical presentation
or product demonstration.
The CTSC event committee has
opened the door to proposals, papers and topic suggestions to include
the widest possible scope of expertise.

Presenters and Speakers

The CTSC committee is pleased to confirm the following presenters
and speakers for the 7th Annual Canadian Technical
Security Conference (CTSC 2012).

Paul
D Turner, TSS TSI (1A) (4A) (16A) (17A)
Mr. Turner is a retired professional investigator
with a quarter century of experience and is the President and Corporate
Director of
Professional Development TSCM Group Inc. Paul is a TSB certified Technical Security Specialist
(TSS) and experienced Technical Security Instructor (TSI).
Paul has thirty (30 +) years of experience and
upward of 10,000 hours of actual working experience in the field
providing professional TSCM, ECM, COMSEC and CI related professional
services, including advanced air and ground based Radio Direction
Finding (RDF).
Paul is a FLIR (ITC) Level I Thermographer and
has conducted extensive application based research into developing
Infrared (IR) Thermal Imaging techniques to support security, law
enforcement and military technical security applications.
Paul has and more than 10,000 hours of
teaching experience and as the primary instructor, teaches the only TSS
Certification (Designate) Training in North America, at TSB Resident
Training Centre (RTC) in Eastern Ontario.
Paul has instructed at
Sheridan College and remains a part-time faculty member and has provided lectures and workshops at both Ryerson
University and Seneca College, as well as a host of client venues for
government, military and private sector TSCM personnel and clients.
Paul is the Director of Research and
Engineering for Professional Development Technology Group and has taken
a leading role in the development of the kestrel TSCM TM
Professional Software and the Signal Intelligence Support System (SISS).
Andrzej
Wolczanski, TSS (3A) (11A)
Andrzej is currently employed by Professional
Development TSCM Group Inc., and is a graduate of the Technical Security
Specialist (TSS) Designate Certification program.
Andrzej is a Technical Security Specialist
(TSS) and is responsible for conducting all aspects of electronic and
physical TSCM inspections.
Andrzej has extensive radio communications
experience and currently is responsible for the recently formed TSB
Technical Research and Standards Group (TRSG).
William
(Bill) Pretty
(5A)
Bill has over 30 years experience in the
electronics industry, primarily in the area of research and development.
Bill has held a Top Secret clearance since the early 90's, when he was
employed at Defense Research Establishment Ottawa (DREO). After which he
accepted a position with External Affairs and International Trade
Canada.
For the past 20 years, Bill has specialized in the development and use
of electronic countermeasures equipment for various government and
military organizations and has also been involved in the development and
use of electronic surveillance equipment for law enforcement.
When Bill is not involved with his own company; William Pretty Security,
which he founded primarily to conduct advanced research into electronic
surveillance and counter surveillance. Bill has been a guest speaker at
the Western Canada Technical Conference (WCTC) for several years. This
conference brings together members of the law enforcement community and
the providers of the latest in advanced surveillance equipment.
Bill has presented papers on such topics as; Ultra-Wideband Technology;
DECT Technology; Wi-Fi Security; Wireless Technical Security; and
Interception of Bluetooth devices.
John
Price, CPP CRM

John has extensive background in security operations, investigations,
Labor dispute management and executive protection. John is an
accomplished interviewer, investigator and security manager and has 20
years experience working with different Law Enforcement and Government
agencies in advisory positions, John is a Certified Protection
Professional and a Certified Risk Manager.
John is currently a partner, Senior Investigator & Security Consultant
with Price-Langevin and Associates Inc. His expertise includes security
inspections, security surveys, risk analysis, executive protection
services, technical security-TSCM, loss prevention program design and
implementation, Tender specifications, CCTV system design, internal and
external criminal investigation.
John is a graduate of Law Enforcement and Security Program, GMCC and is
certified in Crime Prevention through Environmental Design Level I and
level II. In addition John is trained in Covert Electronic Surveillance
and is a Certified Locksmith and former Chairman for the American
Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) - Alberta / Northern Alberta
Chapter.
Robin
Jackman
(7A) (8A)
Robin has been a Senior RF Applications
Engineer with Tektronix Canada for the past 9 years. Prior to Tektronix
Robin spent 13 years working in radio monitoring with the Canadian
Government where he specialized in High Speed Signal Acquisition, Radio
Direction Finding and Spectrum Monitoring Systems integration.
Robert
Inkol, B.Sc M.A.Sc.

Robert Inkol received the B.Sc. and M.A.Sc. degrees in
Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from the University of
Waterloo in 1976 and 1978, respectively. Since 1978 he has been with
Defence Research and Development Canada where he is currently a senior
scientist and an adjunct professor with the Royal Military College.
Robert is responsible for numerous contributions to the application of
very large scale integrated circuit technology and digital signal
processing techniques to electronic warfare systems and has an extensive
publication record which includes four patents. Mr. Inkol is a senior
member of the IEEE and has served as a reviewer for various scientific
publications.
