TSB Technical Security Workshop
Professional Development TSCM Group Inc., and the
Technical Security Branch (TSB) are pleased to once again sponsor the
TSB Technical Workshop
on the 3rd day of the 7th Annual Canadian Technical Security Conference
(CTSC 2012).
The "TSB Technical Workshop" includes
a professional skills development component that is specifically designed for
professional technical operators that are tasked with the responsibility
of conducting ambient RF spectrum monitoring, collection and
analysis associated with RF based technical security inspections.
CTSC 2012 Technical Security Workshop
(16A) (17A)
TOPIC:
"Kestrel TSCM TM
Professional Software Deployment..."
SPEAKER:
Paul D
Turner, TSS TSI
DESCRIPTION:
Participants will be introduced to
the conceptual design and unique operational deployment concepts;
features and functionality of the Kestrel TSCM TM Professional Software
- Signal Intelligence Support System (SISS). The recent advancements in
the development of small form factor, extremely low cost and highly
sophisticated Software Defined Radio (SDR) hardware has made it possible
for the Technical Security Branch (TSB) of Professional Development TSCM
Group Inc., to develop an advanced professional level; work-flow based;
operator centric; TSCM specific software application that significantly
extends the operational capability of any supported search receiver or
spectrum analyzer with SDR connectivity. The strength of our software
architecture; and visionary design model has resulted in a very powerful
and effective weapon against illegal interception involving near-field
RF based Technical Surveillance Devices (TSD) and far-field signal
monitoring, capture and analysis within the capability and limitations
of the specific search receiver or spectrum analyzer utilized.

DESCRIPTION:
Participants will be provided with an
operational demonstration continuing from the previous session and have
an opportunity to see first hand the Kestrel TSCM TM Professional
Software deployed in a typical operational capacity utilizing the Signal
Hound SDR search receiver and other available software supported
hardware in a dual and multiple receiver configuration. Participants
will observe first hand just some of the many powerful design features
and operational deployment methods; including travel versatility and low
profile covert system deployment. Gain better insight into the unique
deployment methods and techniques available to the technical operator.
The session will round out with a short question and answer opportunity
and bringing to a conclusion the 7th Annual Canadian Technical Security
Conference (CTSC 2012).
