OSCOR Blue - OSCOR Green Update...

We have been asked about the current status and confusion relating to the OSCOR Blue / OSCOR Green availability.

Apparently there are rumors to the effect that OSCOR Blue is no longer ITAR listed.

In-fact, OSCOR Blue is fully listed as an ITAR item and is not available for commercial use outside the United States of America and we are not able to provide additional information relating to OSCOR Blue, beyond the manufacturers basic marketing materials.

Having just returned from the Espionage Research Institute (ERI) Conference in Washington DC and attending a formal presentation conducted by REI on the new OSCOR Green, I am pleased to report that it appears to be an excellent equipment resource for most sweep scenarios and we look forward to supporting sales and providing competitive quotes for the new OSCOR Green in Canada.

OSCOR Green is available for sale outside of the United States of America and can be utilized for commercial use in Canada.

TSB FACT: Professional Development TSCM Group Inc., is the only company issued an ITAR End-User License for commercial use outside of the United States of America. If you have not had OSCOR Blue on your boardroom table; give us a call.

60 GHz Technology

The Technical Security Branch (TSB) of Professional Development TSCM Group Inc., has recently acquired a 60 GHz high definition single channel (audio and video) transmitter and receiver combination for technical evaluation in our lab.

The identification and detection of this sophisticated and technologically advanced device provides new and significant challenges for technical operators given the relatively low power levels, complex modulation schemes and narrow beam width line of sight characteristics.

There are many technical operators in total denial when advised that there is a need to sweep the ambient RF spectrum environment in access of even 10 GHz; and that a carefully planned series of comparative Geographical Area Review (GAR); active collection traces need to be captured outside of the target facility.

Perhaps the knowledge of low power, highly directional (60 GHz) consumer products will provide a new found motivation and respect for sweeping the RF spectrum to beyond 60 GHz and utilizing Differential Signal Analysis (DSA) techniques.

TSB FACT: Our Technical Research and Standards Group (TSRG) routinely researches and evaluates new and emerging technologies that might be utilized or adapted as illegal interception devices in order to develop active detection measures, which are then incorporated into our software and training products.
