"Introducing the
Signal Hound (BB60A) Real-Time Signal Analyzer…"
The pending release of the latest Signal Hound TM receiver
product is just weeks away.
The new technology (Model BB60A) is described as a low cost, high
performance real-time RF recording signal analyzer and a high speed
spectrum signal analyzer.
The BB60A is yet another technological milestone for the US based
manufacturer Test Equipment Plus and enhances the already industry
leading Signal Hound TM family of products.
Professional Development TSCM Group Inc. is the exclusive Canadian
distributor for the Signal Hound TM family of innovative low
cost search receivers and spectrum analyzer products, and are very
pleased with the this latest technological achievement.
PDTG Inc. recognized early on the unique potential for Signal Hound
TM receivers within the Technical Surveillance Countermeasures
(TSCM) community and very wisely selected the Signal Hound
TM
receiver product line as the initial development platform for the
Genesis ECM TM and Kestrel TSCM TM Professional Software.
Test Equipment Plus has a proven commitment and demonstrated dedication
to research, development and production level manufacturing of quality,
well-engineered RF products.
We are very pleased and extremely proud to be associated with and
support what can be described as the most innovative and unique Software
Defined Radio (SDR) products world-wide.
Production quantities of the BB60A are scheduled to be available for
purchase in Canada on or about Thursday January 10, 2013 from
Professional Development TSCM Group Inc.
We are accepting advance orders for the BB60A effective immediately.
This new industry disruptive technology has a 20 MHz real-time bandwidth
and tunes from 9 kHz to 6.0 GHz.
The receiver collects 80 Million Samples / Per Second and streams data
via a USB 3.0 port at 140MB / Per Second.
This PC based search receiver requires a minimum of an Intel i7-3612QM
quad-core processor (or higher) and Windows 7 Professional Operating
System.
An internal RAID-0 or RAID-5, parallel four drive high storage
capability configuration is required to be able to sustain continuous
high-performance (full bandwidth) streaming of RF data to the hard drive
of a typical desktop host computer.
A RAID-0, RAID-5 or SSD is not required when the BB60A is used only as a
real-time spectrum analyzer and does not need to record the data stream
to a storage drive.
The minimum recommended laptop data storage is a 512 GB SSD capable of
sustaining sequential write speeds of at least 230MB / per second or
higher (the SSD current market standard is 600 MB / per second) and it
is recommended that an NVidia video card (or equivalent) with GPU
capability be utilized.
GPU is used as a graphics accelerator for rendering split-screen (3-D)
color spectrograms with the added feature of user selectable perspective
angles and a (2-D) color spectrogram (waterfall) can also be selected by
the technical operator.
Color persistence is a GPU accelerated feature that allows the technical
operator to visualize what can be described as normally undetectable
signal events and / or harmful interference, in this mode of operation.
The BB60A is capable of continuous sweeping up to 24 GHz / per second
with the Enhanced Spurious Rejection (ESR) feature OFF or 12 GHz / per
second with Enhanced Spurious Rejection (ESR) feature ON.
As an outstanding example to illustrate this capability, the BB60A can
continuously and simultaneously record the entire FM radio station band
from (88 MHz to 108 MHz) or any other (up to 20 MHz) of spectrum
allocation bandwidth.
The ability of the technical operator to first record and then playback
the entire 20 MHz FM Broadcast Band and then demodulate the audio of any
of the recorded stations and tune from station to station during post
event analysis is fully supported as all of the stations were captured
and recorded simultaneously.
The design simplicity of the BB60A permits the receiver to draw power
directly from USB 3.0 cable and host computer port.
The receiver is packaged in the same case foot print as the current
model USB-SA44B and USB-SA124A/B spectrum analyzer receivers.
The BB60A spectrum analyzer sweeps 75 times faster than the original
USB-SA44B and data streaming can be GPS time stamped.
RF record and playback modes support the ability to analyze complex
signal events.
The BB60A is a truly industry disruptive new technology and is ideal for
applications requiring broadband real-time data streaming or RF
surveillance applications including Technical Surveillance
Countermeasures (TSCM), as there has never been this level of
sophistication or advanced capability at this low of a price available
anywhere.
Work is progressing on full support for the BB60A for use with the
Kestrel TSCM TM Professional Software, bringing to market the
lowest cost TSCM specific Signal Intelligence Support System (SISS)
anywhere.
Additional TSCM specific technical operator centric features will also
be available when the BB60A is utilized with the Kestrel TSCM TM
Professional Software application.
The Kestrel TSCM TM Professional Software is 100% developed in Canada
and supports not only Signal Hound receivers, but also the Anritsu
Spectrum Master and the Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) EM100 / PR100 Compact
Receivers.
Support for other search receivers including the CRFS RFeye Node
receiver are currently under development by our software Development
Group (SDG) in Canada.

Introducing the "Kestrel
Defined Monitor (KDM) TM ..."
Professional Development TSCM Group Inc., is
pleased to announce a newly developed strategy in significantly
improving the Probability of Detection (POD).
The Kestrel Defined Monitor (KDM)
TM
is now available as a professional service that significantly enhances
the value of due diligence or deployment specific RF electronic sweeps.
The ever changing technological and ideological
threat environment has left a major void in the ability of a single
electronic sweep to identify a new breed of technical compromises and
inherent methodology in today society.
PDTG Inc., has been witness to these
significant developments and is responding with newly developed new
technological tools such as the Kestrel TSCM TM Professional
Software to assist professional technical operators in the timely
detection, identification and location of not only new technological
threats, but also the ability to address a changing threat environment.
The trend we are witness to has altered the
approach that professional technical operators must respond; in order to
and conduct successful technical sweeps.
Attacks are being carried out differently as
technology and tech savvy individuals approach surveillance with a
different mind-set and acceptance than observed in years past; and as
such; the response to these types of attacks must also be carried out
differently as well.
Professional Development TSCM Group Inc., has
develop the technology and perhaps more importantly the best practice
approach; methods and techniques to meet and exceed the expectations of
our client's that rely on our experience, knowledge and response to
their individual technical security requirements.
The Kestrel TSCM TM
Professional Software provides the foundation; and new deployment
strategies have been developed by our Technical Research and Standards
Group (TRSG) to address the currently developing attack profiles.
Conducting a single electronic sweep is
no-longer sufficient or recommended and this is where the Kestrel
Defined Monitor (KDM) TM methodology becomes a reality and
necessity.
The KDM is a software and approach methodology
specifically developed to address the complex and elusive sweep
environment.
Perhaps, just another milestone in the
innovation development cycle of the Kestrel TSCM TM
Professional Software by our Technical Research and Standards Group
(TRSG); but definitely a defining moment that has changed the game
forever.

Technical Security - An
Essential Business Practice...
As 2011 formally fades to a close and a new
year is looming upon us; the requirement for the implementation,
maintaining and even expanding the efforts of a formal due diligence
technical security program is absolutely essential for all business
entities operating in Canada and internationally.
In 2011 our Technical Security Specialists
(TSS) witnessed a significant increase in the quantity and
sophistication of technical compromises across the full range of
individual and business interests from domestic assignments to national
security related deployment in our nations capital.
Throughout 2011; Professional Development TSCM
Group Inc., was instrumental in the timely detection and identification
of a wide range of sophisticated technical compromises and physical
security vulnerabilities this past year, with numbers that are up nearly
(15%) over the past two (2) years.
This trend is the direct result of the vast
range of surveillance related consumer and commercial products available
worldwide. It is also a result of our company operating some of the most
sophisticated equipment resources available.
The signal displayed above is
transmitting at 12.1490 GHz and is well above
the spectral frequency range most operators are capable of sweeping.
PDTG Inc., is actively engaged in advanced
research and development of several industry related projects and has
successfully developed one of the most advanced TSCM specific software
programs available.
PDTG Inc., utilizes the only commercial (ITAR
Restricted) OSCOR Blue (24 GHz) TSCM Spectrum Analyzer outside of the
United States of America.
Our Technical Security Branch (TSB) also
actively deploys the game changing Kestrel TSCM TM
Professional Software - Signal Intelligence Support System (SISS) in
both a real-time operator attended collection mode or our remotely
monitored (unattended) mode that expands and extends the scope of RF
based technical security inspections significantly and is directly
responsible for identifying a wide range of at best difficult to detect
vulnerabilities and periodic or intermittent compromises that simply
cannot be found during the limited time on task provided during typical
inspections.
This advanced software solution and operational
deployment technique was developed developed in Canada by Professional
Development TSCM Group Inc.
The commitment of PDTG Inc., in maintaining a
wide range of sophisticated Non-Linear Junction Detectors (NLJD),
Thermal (IR) Imaging Cameras and other advanced TSCM specific hardware,
experienced based methods and techniques; have permitted PDTG Inc., to
emerge and excel to the status of a true industry leader.
At a recent law enforcement
conference in Calgary Alberta, Paul D Turner, TSS TSI; Corporate
Director of Professional Development TSCM Group Inc., stated, "The risk
of a technical compromise in the business sector is no longer simple
paranoia in the mind of the CEO, it is real, and is costing the Canadian
business sector millions of dollars a day in lost revenue, opportunity,
sales; and market share...".
"Everyone is affected by
corporate espionage from the receptionist upward to the office of the
CEO, in-fact, most compromises are not in the office of the CEO, but
lower down the corporate ladder where security protocol is oftentimes
the weakest..."
"It is now clear that
engaging the expertise of a dedicated third party Technical Security
Specialist (TSS) is no longer a simple due diligence exercise, it is an
essential survival based business practice...".
